Tektonik Pulau Buton dan Implikasinya terhadap Endapan Bahan Galian

Tectonic, Asphalt, Rock and Mineral, Buton IslandAbstract
Buton Island is an area with a complex geological structure. This is due to the tectonic activities that occurred on the Buton island in the past at geological time scale. The tectonics of Buton Island also affect the types of rock and mineral in this area. The purpose of study is to analyze the geological and tectonic processes that occurred in Buton Island and to determine the types of rock and mineral deposits resulting from tectonic process. Analysis results show that the formation of rock and mineral deposits was influenced by the tectonic process that occurred on Buton Island. The formation of Buton asphalt was influenced by tectonic activity which causes the source rock and reservoir to be damaged so that the hydrocarbons flowing them self follow the fracture and turn into bitumen. The rock deposits that are formed were also influenced by tectonics, resulting in rock deposits that are predominantly sedimentary rocks and few igneous rocks.
