The population of this research was all of the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Batauga in academic year of 2023/2024. The population consists of 3 classes; VII A, VII B, and VII C. Based on the data obtained from the school, the total population was 89 students. In this study, the researcher used random sampling technique. The sample of this research was (VII A and VII C) two class, there were 30 students as sample. The instrument of this research used multiple choice. The data analyzed by using descriptive statistics analysis. Based on findings in this research, the used fix up strategy to students at SMP Negeri 1 Batauga was in category which was proven by the value of pretest in experimental class which mean score was 43.30 and control class mean score was 37.60. Meanwhile the post-test mean score of experimental class was 71.83 and control class was 57.93. It was obtained that t-count was 5.695 and the t-table 2.010 for alpa (α) 0.05. The t-count was higher than t-table. Objective of the research was to find out the effect of Mistake Buster Technique on students' interest in learning English structure in second semester at English students of Dayanu Ikhsanuddin University. The research used a quantitative approach with the pre-experimental method. The population was the second semester at English students of Dayanu Ikhsanuddin University consist of 30 students. The sample was 30 students and was taken used the total sampling technique. The research found the mean score of pre-questionnaire was 73.53 and mean score of post-questionnaire was 82.20. And also the result p-value (sig.(2-tailed)) was 0.001 < 0.05, and t-test was 10.44. The aim of the research is to find out whether there is a significant relationship between reading anxiety and reading comprehension at SMAN 3 Baubau.</p> <p>This research is quantitative research. The population in this study was all class XI, totaling 95 students. The sample was taken using a side random technique, totaling 30 students, consisting of 3 classes, namely class XI Merdeka 1, XI Merdeka 2, XI Merdeka 3. Data collection in this research was carried out using research instruments in the form of questionnaires and tests, to determine the effect of reading anxiety on reading comprehension in the use of English. The data obtained was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis, prerequisite analysis, and inferential statistical analysis.</p> <p>Based on the research results, it was concluded that there was no significant relationship between reading anxiety and reading comprehension. This conclusion is based on statistical analysis. Because Fcount is 0.307 with a significance value of 0.584, Fcount is lower than Ftable and the significance value is greater than (0.05). Subject of this researcher was one English teacher and four students of class X 2. This researcher instrument was obsevation, interview and documentation. Among these, English podcasts have emerged as a valuable resource for enhancing students’ communication skills, particularly in Indonesian EFL classroom. Despite the widespread use of digital tools in language learning, there is still limited research on the integration of English podcasts to improve English department students’ speaking skills at an Indonesian university context. This study aims to investigate the students’ perceptions as well as their awareness of the drawbacks of podcasts on their English speaking skills development. Using the semi-structured interview, data were collected from 36 students who were enrolled in English education undergraduate programs at the private university in southeast Sulawesi province, Indonesia. Findings of this research were classified into three categories that are integration of podcast in EFL speaking classroom, benefits of podcasts, and drawbacks of podcasts. Students expressed positive attitudes towards the integration of podcasts into their English speaking learning routine, highlighting the role of presentation, accessibility, content quality, flexibility, and engagement. However, challenges such as the need for guidance, support, and boredom in using these digital tools were also identified. These findings provide significant insights for educational policies and language teaching practices, emphasizing the potential integration of podcasts as a supplementary tool to improve learners English speaking skills in EFL contexts.</p>2024-05-31T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2024 English Education Journal
