The aims of this research are: 1) to find out the background to the emergence of the Cungka dance in Burangasi, Lapandewa District, South Buton Regency; 2) to find out the values ​​contained in the story regarding the background of the Cungka dance; 3) to find out the Cungka dance movements of the Burangasi community, Lapandewa District, South Buton Regency. 4) to find out the values ​​attached to the cungka dance. The research used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a historical approach. The data sources in this research are primary data sources and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation and document study.</em></p> <p><em>The results of the research obtained are 1) The background to the emergence of the Cungka Dance from a husband and wife who bought 1 of their 7 children whose body parts were planted in the garden and grew into food in the form of heads becoming coconuts, teeth becoming corn, fingers and toes becoming cassava, blood becoming santa (tubers), and other body parts becoming hopa, peanuts, pumpkins and so on. 2) The value contained in the Cungka dance story is the value of obedience which the child (Wa Sariati) was willing to slaughter for the sake of the survival of her family. 3) the cungka dance moves turning right and left and swinging the arms and changing patterns like the letter (V) accompanied by the waironi song. 4) The value contained in the Cungka dance is the value of the beauty of every movement danced</em></p> Munawir Mansyur Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Pendidikan Sejarah https://ejournal.lppmunidayan.ac.id/index.php/sejarah/article/view/1766 Wed, 05 Feb 2025 00:00:00 +0800 TRADISI TEI’ANO WINE PADA MASYARAKAT SIOMPU, SEBUAH RITUAL PRA TANAM (STUDI DI DESA NGGULA-NGGULA) https://ejournal.lppmunidayan.ac.id/index.php/sejarah/article/view/1763 <p>This research aims; describes the background of the tei'ano wine ceremony in the Siompu community in South Buton Regency, describes the procession of carrying out the tei'ano wine ceremony in the Siompu community in South Buton Regency, reveals the symbolic meaning and values ​​contained in the tei'ano wine ceremony. The sources used consist of primary sources in the form of interviews, archives/documents, and secondary sources in the form of articles, books, magazines, journals, obtained from libraries and personal collections.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The aim of using this method is to create a systematic description, picture or painting of facts, characteristics and conclude data that has a relationship between the phenomena being studied. To obtain accurate data in connection with this research, in-depth interview techniques were used with the main informants and observation techniques or direct observations of the objects studied.</p> <p>Some of the main findings of this research are (1) The cultural tradition of tei'ano wine is a traditional ceremonial ritual of the farming community in Siompu. This ceremony is carried out after opening agricultural land, as an expression of prayer so that in the future the results will be abundant and free from pest pests. (2) The tei'ano wine ceremony or deliberation is carried out in baruga, which is attended by traditional institutions consisting of elements of sara and elements of law. (3) a. Social Values; deep wine tei'ano ritual</p> <p>Social life is essentially an activity of imitating and continuing the activities of humans in the past. b. Religious Values; The religious element in the tei'ano wine ceremony is reflected in the ritual of requesting the Almighty, so that the plants planted are kept away from pests and the results are bestowed. c. Cultural Values; The cultural value of the Tei'ano wine ceremony has become an ideology and justification for the importance of the ceremony. The aim of this research is to determine the application of the Discovery Learning learning model in the independent curriculum in studying history for class XI at SMA Negeri 2 Baubau.</p> <p>The type of research used in this research is Classroom Action Research or PTK. Time and place This research was carried out in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year in class XI of SMA Negeri 2 Baubau. The population in this study was 475 people (consisting of 13 study groups), the researchers chose class XI 3, totaling 36 students from SMA Negeri 2 Baubau. Research instruments are Observation Method, Demonstration Method and Documentation Method. Buton, which was on this route, easily accepted Islam, which then changed the government system from a kingdom with Islamic nuances to the status of a sultanate area. The objectives of this study are: 1) to find out the type of marriage in the Bajo Sampela community, 2) to find out the procedure for implementing the marriage customs of the Bajo Sampela community.</em></p> <p><em>&nbsp;&nbsp; This research uses socio-cultural research methods and includes qualitative research that produces analytical procedures that do not use statistical analysis procedures and other quantifications. Data collection in this study consists of three methods, namely: 1) observation, 2) interviews, and 3) literature. The subjects in this research are traditional leaders, community leaders, and marriage actors.</em></p> <p><em>The results of this research show that marriage in Bajo Sampela consists of 3 types of marriage, namely: a) massuro (proposal), b) siboa (elopement), c) ngandaka (forced marriage). The procedure for implementing the traditional marriage of Bajo Sampela marriage is: a) massuro, the procedures are: lelepatilao (asking), then massuro (proposal), discussing pananga (dowry) and continued with pangarintanga allau allo (determining a good day), then the opening and the wedding ceremony. b) siboa (eloping), the procedure is: the two run away to the customary leader's house, report to the customary leader, notification to both families concerned, discussing the dowry as well as the good day, a simple marriage. c) ngandaka (forced marriage), the procedure is: If caught, the young people are arrested, taken to the village priest's house, and married off, or if they want to be arranged by the adat leader, they are reported first to his family</em></p> Rustam Awat Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Pendidikan Sejarah https://ejournal.lppmunidayan.ac.id/index.php/sejarah/article/view/1762 Wed, 05 Feb 2025 00:00:00 +0800 RITUAL POSUMANGA PADA MASYARAKAT TALAGA RAYA https://ejournal.lppmunidayan.ac.id/index.php/sejarah/article/view/1752 <p>Penelitian ini mengkaji dan mengungkapkan Ritual <em>Posumanga</em> Masyarakat Talaga Raya Kabupaten Buton Tengah, dengan tujuan: untuk mengetahui latar belakang adanya ritual <em>posumanga</em>, proses pelaksanaan ritual <em>posumanga</em>, dan nilai yang terkandung pada ritual <em>posumanga</em>.</p> <p>Penelitian ini adalah penelitian sosial budaya dengan menggunakan metode pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan di Kecamatan Talaga Raya Kabupaten Buton Tengah dengan bertumpu pada pendekatan wawancara, observasi, dan studi kepustakaan.</p> <p>Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa latar belakang adanya ritual <em>posumanga</em> merupakan suatu tradisi atau budaya yang sering &nbsp;dilakukan&nbsp; oleh &nbsp;masyarakat Talaga &nbsp;Raya &nbsp;untuk &nbsp;mengenang dan mendoakan arwah orang yang telah meninggal dunia. Tentang kapan adanya tidak dapat diketahui dengan pasti, mengingat ritual ini telah tersimpan dalam memory kolektif masyarakat yang diturunkan secara turun-temurun dan diwariskan dari generasi ke generasi.
