PENGARUH KOMPETENSI GURU TERHADAP MINAT BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN EKONOMI SMA NEGERI 2 SIOTAPINA

Abstract

This study aimed at determining too what extent the influence of teacher competence  on student interest in the economic subjects of SMA Negeri 2 Siotapina. The results of this study indicate that (1) Based on the results of a simple linear regression analysis obtained the equation of the effect of teacher competence on student interest in economic subjects of SMA Negeri 2 Siotapina namely Y = 11.672 + 0.104X. It shows that there is a fairly strong influence between the variables of teacher competence on student interest in economic subjects with a regression coefficient of 0.104. (2) Based on the results of the calculation of the product moment correlation formula, there is a correlation between the teacher's competence and student learning interest in economic subjects at SMA Negeri 2 Siotapina. From the calculation results obtained rxy = 0.24. This shows that the positive influence in the teaching style of teachers on economic learning outcomes has a fairly strong relationship between the teaching styles of teachers on economic learning outcomes of 0.24. (3) The magnitude of the contribution of teacher competence to student interest in economic subjects in SMA Negeri 2 Siotapina is indicated by the results of the coefficient of determination of 5.76%. The results show that economic learning outcomes of 5.76% are influenced by the teaching style of the teacher and the remaining 94.24% are influenced by other variables which are not examined in this study
