Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in learning activeness and student learning outcomes in the creative product assembly class XII.1 TAV at SMK Negeri 2 Baubau through the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) Learning Method. This research is a Classroom Action Research which was carried out using an action research model from Kemmis and McTaggart, which is in the form of a spiral from one cycle to the next cycle consisting of two cycles; Each cycle includes planning (planning), action (action), observation (observation) and reflection (reflection). The subjects of the study were students of class XII.1 TAV at State Vocational High School 2 Baubau in the Academic Year 2019 / 2020. Data sources were from teachers and students. Data collection techniques in this study with triangulation techniques is a combination of several research instruments. The complete data collection techniques used are Classroom Activity Observation, Learning Outcome Evaluation Sheet and documentation. The results showed that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) method n the product assembly material experienced an increase in the average learning activity of the student product assembly material by 20.4%, while the inter-cycle target had been achieved for each indicator with an average of 70 , 4 while the average target between cycles is 62.5. Learning outcomes in Cycle I the average value of the learning outcomes of assembling student products in the first cycle after applying the project based learning model (PjBL) the average learning outcomes obtained reached 71.28, and at the end of the cycle ie the second cycle the average results learning to assemble student products increases to 79.65.
