Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the method for developing a differentiated learning process on quadrilateral shape Material at SMP Negeri 12 Baubau. This research used a development research with the steps: design, development, implementation and evaluation (ADDIE). This research had a population of 114 students and the sample wa 29 student for experimental class, and 29 students for control. The instruments used in this research were instruments in the form of student response questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, student activity observation sheets, and differentiated learning ability tests. The data was collected by giving questionnaires, observing student activities and giving ability test sheets. The results of this research show that, the differentiated learning process on quadrilateral shape material in class VII.B, the level of validity obtained from the validator is 4.9, including being declared valid, practical because the average percentage of student responses is 93.10% and teacher responses are 97.5% is in the positive and effective category because the average percentage of student activity is 82.75% which is in the very good category and the student ability test obtained from the analysis of the mean difference between the experimental and control classes is at a significant 0.000 < 0,05 which means that the learning process effective differentiation in improving students’ abilities.
