Abstract

This study aimed at finding out whether there is influence of parents' socio-economic conditions with student achievement at the school. The type of research is field research with quantitative research methods. The location of research is SMA Negeri 2 Kapontori. The object of this research is the socioeconomic condition of parents and student achievement. The sample of The study amounted to 36 students consisting of grades X, XI, and XII. Data collection in this study used questionnaire and documentation. Data analysis use simple data analysis techniques. Based on the results of the study, it obtained the score in the category of very high or non-existent or 0% of the high category is 3 remaining or 8% of the moderate category is 8 students or 22% of the low category is 23 students or 64% and the low category is 6%. So it can be concluded that there is the influence of parents' socio-economic conditions on student achievement, including in the low category with a percentage of 64%.
