TINJAUAN KONDISI SOSIAL EKONOMI MASYARAKAT USAHA TANI BAWANG MERAH DESA LAPANDEWA MAKMUR KECAMATAN LAPANDEWA KABUPATEN BUTON SELATAN

Abstract

The problem in this study is how the socio-economic conditions of the onion farming community in Lapandewa Makmur Village, Lapandewa District, South Buton Regency. This type of research is a type of qualitative research with research subjects totaling 60 farmers, while data collection in this study was carried out using observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained: (1) the education level of shallot farmers in Lapandewa Makmur village community still dominated elementary school graduates (SD) amounted to 25 people or 41.65% of the number of informants and did not graduate from elementary school amounted to 15 people or 25% of the number of informants then junior high school graduates amounted to 14 people or 23.35% and high school graduates amounted to 6 people or 10% of the number of informants. Regarding the understanding of onion farming, it is only based on personal experience obtained through family education from generation to generation. (2) Their treatment if they are sick at the Puskesmas (Community health center) because there is a Jamkesmas (Community health Insurance) card so that treatment is free. (3) the housing conditions they have on average are permanent and temporary houses because they are built from the total income of family members (4) the income of the shallot farming community in Lapandewa Makmur village has an average income of Rp. 700,000- up to Rp. 2.500.000 per season as many as 49 people or 81.66% of the number of informants. and an income of Rp. 3,500,000. - up to Rp. 6,200,000. totaling 11 people or 18.34% of the number of informants (5) do not have shallot farmer savings because their income is in the low category.
